There are separate pens for the Airship's pigs and goats. The larger size of this room was designed to accompany other livestock intended as additional food sources for crew members and passengers. Some chickens were already inside their cages when Jennifer visited it during "Unlucky Cloverfield." She also encounters Countess Eleanor for the first time at the other end of the room. The Backup Parts Room fulfills that purpose. Whoever was assigned to maintain and operate the machinery in Sector 9 needed a room to store the tools and spare parts. It is hardly a coincidence that the Airship crew's living quarters were located adjacent to Sector 9. Shelves line the Backup Parts Room, the Airship Map left on a table. Imps will begin to patrol this area in later Chapters. Brown will continue to stay there until Jennifer sets him free. When Jennifer first visits Sector 9 during "Unlucky Cloverfield," she will find Brown blindfolded, bound and suspended from the ground. To conserve space within the Airship, Sector 9 also contained the Starboard Livestock Room and the Portside Livestock Room. Any spare parts and tools required to keep the machinery working were stored there. Behind the machinery on the western side of Sector 9 was the Backup Parts Room. Crew members assigned to Sector 9 are tasked with maintenance and repair of the machinery in the center of the area. While Sector 13 and the walkways between the Cargo Bays of Sectors 7 and 8 housed the forward and aft engines, Sector 9 was responsible for the production of electrical power for the Airship generator.
